A Step is Better Than a Swing
Life isn’t about grand gestures it’s about the small, intentional steps that move us forward. Pivots. The little moments that quietly lead us toward a greater purpose.
This is the power of And Both.
When you live a life fueled by faith, you’ll find that joy and challenge often walk hand in hand. The happiest and most difficult moments don’t cancel each other out; they coexist.
I have experienced this deeply in my own life most profoundly on my wedding day. One of the happiest, most celebratory days of my life and the day my father, weak and dying of cancer, fought to walk me down the aisle. He made it. Determined. Present. Right after the ceremony, his body couldn’t handle more, and he had to be taken home. We continued to celebrate without his physical presence, yet knowing the profoundness of his presence in that moment.
And Both. Two truths, existing together.
What if you embraced the tension and ease of And Both?
What if faith allows you to hold joy and sorrow, victory and struggle, all at once?
What if the happy moments exist so you don’t quit?
What if the challenging moments keep you grounded and humble?
If we recognize that both can exist together, we stop resisting life as it is. We stop waiting for things to be perfect before we move. Instead, we take responsibility for what we can control, lean into the moment we’ve been gifted, and trust in the knowing that hope is still alive.
Because it is.
When we embrace And Both, we see that we are not stuck. We are simply stepping through a season.
And seasons change.
The things that once worked may no longer work. The path you once walked may be shifting beneath you. But you are being prepared.
Do what you can with what you have. Lean into faith. Keep stepping.
Keep leaning into courage.
Because what feels like breaking down is actually the beginning of your breakthrough.
Your next level.
Your transformation.
All my love,
Theresa
